Happy for Bartees and I am stoked for this new record (I’ve preordered it and all) but I am hoping for some songs that lean more towards the sound of Weights and Mustang.

For some reason I could never get into his last album, but just heard "Heavy Heart" and WOW, was the last album like this and I just missed it? Either way, I might have to start getting more on board

 

I would say (aside from the horns) it definitely had similar vibes on some of the tracks. I loved his last record but I would suggest checking out the Live at Studio 4 he put out. It’s at Yip’s studio and the songs sound better than the original studio version.

I went back and listened to Live Forever and wasn't into it at all still

BUT, just listened to this album in full and it's SO GOOD

I like Live Forever but the production on a lot of it makes it hard to listen to. Excited to hear this at midnight! So far I've only listened to the first two singles.
