Just realized the hitmen’s podcast is about gadgets that never work and then Armisen tries to kill Barry with a gadget that blows up in his hand lol
Well after all the discourse over how dark Barry has gotten vs. the humor it’s “lost”, I think Episode 3 had three moments where I laughed harder than anything’s made me laugh in recent memory. 1. “If Rip Torn gave it to you, it probably fires real bullets.” 2. Fuchs transfixed watching Rain Man and then saying: “That’s us.” 3. Fred Armisen absolutely losing his shit while the feds are explaining witness protection followed by Barry’s “….that guy’s here to kill me.” Top 5 Barry episode ever IMO.
My only prediction for what will happen in the end is someone will end up in witness protection and treat it like an acting gig.
that was my favorite fred cameo ever and there’s lots of great ones the ending to this week’s was really an ohhhh shhhiiiiit
In an episode that had its share of tough moments to watch, the hardest part for me to get through was the lack of Enter Sandman during the karaoke scene.
Jesus, this show is just unrecognizable from what it was in the first two seasons. Not that that's a bad thing but this shit is darker than most dramas at this point That last scene with Cristobal was absolutely brutal, I figured it was coming once Hank started desperately trying to convince him to stay but the execution was just unrelentingly sad. I wonder if Gene actually killed his son too, that would take his tragic life to yet another level. And Sally sticking with Barry in any desperate last attempt to feel loved and wanted by someone, if that's the direction they're going, is really powerful too. I do really hope the time jump is not real though, I got the impression that it's another one of the fantasies that Barry always has about him and Sally's future. It's going to take a lot to get me on board if that's the rest of the show
