it would be weird if Sally, a struggling emerging actress living in LA, wasn't a bit pretentious haha
I know the scene ended with Sally being justifiably terrified but holy shit Barry describing what he would do to the exec lady had me dying Really interesting ending, I wonder if we'll even get a followup with those characters or if it was just a total red herring with a shock ending
Yeah I was 100% laughing at that convinced it was going to end with a "haha jk" laugh from both of them. I love how this show has built something where it can just get rid of characters that way and it's completely consistent with what the shows done and works.
replace her dog with a slightly different dog it's so weird that Sally's show was on a streaming network, although it apparently being woman based and still immediately canceling a show about abuse was a nice touch
His monologue to Sally there felt... completely out of left field haha. Definitely the whole time I was thinking he was gonna say sike Was dying laughing at Batir filming that insane shootout, how it all went 0-100 within seconds
I really just love how this show feels like anything goes. They’ve built this world where it feels like almost no matter what happens, it’s somehow on brand for the tone. When Elena was staring at the pantry Hank was hidden in, I fully expected it to get a laugh by panning to an outer view where she could just plainly see him through the slats. And yet what they did was essentially the exact the opposite in plot and tone and it worked just as well
I think this entire episode I had my hand over my grinning mouth saying holy shit every once in a while. is it weird that I think this latest one was actually one of the top 3 episodes of the entire show
Has anyone listened to the weekly recap podcast Bill Hader is doing on Spotify? Wondering if it’s really worth checking out. I hate using a separate podcast app for one show.
This was probably the weakest episode of the season for me, but it was still solid. Gene's failed apology and Barry's offer to Sally were the highlights. "Replace her dog with a slightly smaller dog". So good.
yeah probably my least favourite thus far too. Hader's interview with the Wrap makes it sound like big chunks of this one were redone in reshoots, maybe that has something to do with the pacing feeling a little off
Was the street where the mom shot her son the same street from the pilot where Hank tried to kill Barry? it’s going to be really funny if they set up all these people coming after Barry and they just end up fucking themselves up without him even knowing
