Calling it now that the bullet in the forehead imagery is gonna be how Barry dies in the series finale
Holy shit that 30 minutes felt like 5 minutes Right out the gate this was insane, I genuinely thought Cousineau might die. I'm thinking maybe the way that Barry thinks he can make up for it is killing Fuches? I'm gonna miss the relationship between Gene and Barry because I really enjoyed it but it will definitely never be the same. I'm glad they didn't shy away and just have Barry convince him that he didn't do it like I thought was gonna happen I genuinely have no fucking clue where this is going
What this show and Silicon Valley have most in common is they take plot points that would be entire season arcs on other shows and dispense with them in a single episode because they have so many other ideas to get to.
I know it's probably meta having Sally's show being one where she's old enough to be Elsie Fisher's mom but it was still like isn't she 35 also nice seeing Krista from Enlightened and Elizabeth Perkins
Hader's delivery of that last line was a masterpiece in itself. also that tracking shot of Goldberg moving through the set was unbelievable, goddamn. missed this show
It's been so long that I completely forgot this show was only 30 minutes. Probably the only 30 minute show on TV that deserves to be an hour.
Kind of feel like they should've done a two episode premiere, a lot of that episode was just getting us up to speed. great ep though
I actually love that this is only a 30 minute show and feels rushed (versus something like Atlanta where those 30 minutes feel much longer). It definitely forces them to be more economic in their storytelling and I appreciate the effect it has.
Saddest I’ve felt watching an episode of Barry and yet it also had the funniest bit I’ve seen on TV in years (the “too many dogs” moment). This is such a gem of a show
Holy shit, I figured this would be the direction they took Barry's character eventually but I didn't think it would be this soon and this abrupt. Making him become pretty much irredeemable halfway through the show is an extremely bold move and I'm wondering if they're going to stick with it or try to at least attempt to reset things. I know we're only on the second episode but wow
