Excellent episode. A little hard to buy considering how in the open they were all day, but still great. The girl who played the daughter deserves some type of award. Also almost thought that was Jon Hamm in the beginning of the episode with gray hair.
I intentionally waited like an hour of GOT ended to watch this I'm not gonna lie, for the first like half I was not into the thing with the little girl at all, it seemed way too over the top and unrealistic for this show, but once I realized the whole thing was kind of supposed to be like a surreal fever dream it grew on me a lot. It actually kind of reminded me of Atlanta, I'm surprised Hiro didn't direct this one
Yeah I’m actually shocked Hiro didn’t direct this because I made the same comparison to Atlanta in my head as I watched it. Hader has learned well from being directed by him.
That was absolutely insane. It’s an odd episode, since the show is really grounded for the most part, but it was so entertaining that I’m totally fine with it. Worst cops in the world.
Did anyone else get reminded of Shaun of the Dead when the girl was jumping over all of the fences? Haha
Barry is rip off of Get Shorty HBO spent all their $ on GOT. MOST of the show's and films are cheapies. After GOT HBO has nothing remotely equivalent. Netflix and HBO will knock each other off spending. The bulk of both is garbage
definitely my favorite episode of Barry, they crammed like a season's worth of plot into one episode.. and holy shit Hader has immense potential as a director.
Holy shit this episode was INSANE! I know Hader directed a bunch so far but the filmmaking was next level this time... the long shots, the editing, that superhuman daughter.
I know less is more and it's better this way, but I also really wish we had like 10-12 hour long episodes per season. Every episode ends so suddenly, it hurts.
