Finally watched ep 3. My god this show. Like others have said there were so many great/hilarious lines, and then the ending was brutal. Also I can’t wait for the Chechnyas guys to be a straight up assassin squad by the end of the season.
Yup I liked the first season but didn't really love it (I thought the actors were a bit too insufferable but now they feel more grounded), but this season has been near-perfect for me.
Not sure how I feel about that twist I’m liking this season but it still hasn’t done anything that makes me feel like it’s necessary. Season 1 was perfect with a perfect ending and season 2 just kinda exists and is good but is inherently less interesting cause it’s not really doing anything different from season 1. Like, I don’t think they planned a season 2 at all when they were writing season 1 and it shows.
This... was probably one of the best episodes of the entire series. Just every single scene was fantastic, especially Barry's talk with Gene, Barry going to Sally's ex's room with the gun while she's in there, and the end right after with Barry in the hotel room was so intense. I also am not sure how I feel about that twist though, but I'll wait to see how it pays off first
Loved the episode! I’m also not 100 percent sure about the twist, but I trust the show to make it pay off. My only question is, couldn’t the detective just blackmail Fuches directly instead of going through him to get Barry involved?
The twist felt straight out of Silicon Valley to me, it was exactly like something they would do on that show to completely blow up one story arc and move into another. I loved it though, it was such a great/unexpected inversion of expectations.
I feel like I don't enjoy that character of Sally at all or the acting class besides Gene. Obviously its a big plot line though.
I enjoy the acting class, but I honestly don't know if we're even supposed to like Sally (though she was actually great in this episode)
it’s bc the show deliberately positions it that way. more so in season 1 at least, but after the house party episode, it seems pretty clear the group itself dislikes sally.
Because she's so self involved/superficial and doesn't seem to care about anyone else unless it will benefit her.
