I'd forgotten about that until my DVR recorded some first season episodes this week. Maybe they decided to abandon that after getting picked up for a second season.

I love how Gene couldn't just go up to his son like a normal person, but instead had to make the weird scene by knocking a bunch of fruit on the ground. Also Fuches describing Barry as "gender liquid" was gold.

 

No he said "Gender Liquid", which isn't a thing lol

 

Fantastic episode last night.

I freaked out when Barry stumbled in on that entire gang.

 

“You want me to wait until she’s reading a thick book and then shoot her in the back of the head?”

“Ok I see it now, it’s kind of a hat on a hat.”

 

"Yes! You are an absolutely terrible person! Do I not tell you this enough??"

 

The scene where Barry went into the church before the attempted hit was absolutely gorgeously shot

 

I cherish Root so much.

 

There were two little things that I keep thinking of and chuckling to myself:

1. Natalie awkwardly reaching forward to tap Barry on the shoulder during class

2. When Sally is at her meeting and Michael and Mike are leaving, one of them has one of those inflatable balls under his arm, haha

The scene with Sally working through her getting weak women roles was very good as well. It was pretty sad her saying she'd never be with a violent man again.

Barry is the main character of the show, so we naturally sympathize with him and want him to do well, but I wonder how long until they make huge waves to have viewers really turn against him. I'm thinking of in Breaking Bad when Walt poisoned the kid level of "okay, I can't even try to hope he gets away with his," or something similar.

Great show.

 

He doesn’t get enough credit for how layered he makes Fuches. So much greed and selfishness, mixed with fear and insecurity, all while still being funny.

So much of the praise has gone to Hader and Winkler and Carrigan (deservedly) but he fucking crushes it like always.

 

HBO Renews Comedy Series BARRY for a Third Season

 

Unsurprising but obviously welcome news

 

I always hated those Californians skit.

 

“So you thought you’d plagiarize Mel Gibson. I’m Jewish, what the fuck, Barry?”

 

These episodes fly by so quickly. I love this show.

 

"Well what do you want me to do? Go to John Wick assassin hotel with 'Help Wanted' sign?"

 

Really liked that this one was just 90% comedy other than the very end and his talk with Fuches, sometimes I forgot how damn funny this show can be because it gets so intense lol

 

Still cackling to myself at work over "North Hollywood Henry"

 

LMAO when that girl starts listing all the shows she has time for.

 

"He's being modest, he is Air Jordan of assassins."

 

Man, that scene where she keeps going at Barry to get a reaction out of him reminds me of how my ex would actually treat me. It was tough to watch.

 

Yeah, that was tough.

 

The translating bit was great. Might have been the straight up funniest ep of the series.

 

King of suck balls mountain got me

 

I love how they do the giant title with loud music and it always cuts off at different moments out of nowhere. Very stylized and very cool.
