I’ve never felt more disconnected from public opinion than I have listening to people complain about the mix on Purple and G&G. Perfect blown out heavy sound that matches their songwriting perfectly

Honestly can’t remember the last time I listened to a Baroness album that wasn’t Red or Blue. Maybe I need to revisit the ones after those as all I remember about them is not liking yer mans clean vocals.

  3. I love his voice haha

my biggest complaint is that as awesome of a guitarist Gina is (probably objectively better than Pete just technically), his lead parts kinda made the band for me and silver & gray and stone especially really lack that

  4. Yellow & Green and Purple are The Ones for me as someone who got into the band later on. Def enjoyed Silver & Grey but I don't know if I've listened to Stone?

There’s plenty to enjoy about the pre-Purple records, but it’s not as fun for me listening to Baroness without Nick and Seb’s playing. Gold & Grey is the album I return to the most

  6. Yellow & Green is the one for me more often than not

  10. Tell me what you like about gold and grey so much

  11. Stone is pretty good which just shows how strong the disco is

  12. Eh I don’t really think it’s good at all. The vocal production kinda ruins it.

    Front Towards Enemy cmon

  14. I like it just a bit less than the ones before it. Way too many interludes and ballady songs. But yeah front towards enemy, seasons, tourniquet, throw me an anchor, broken halo and borderlines are great

One of my all time favourite bands and what a discography!

Some of these are very close and I'm not saying Gold & Grey is bad at all.
