Today I played with a kid who had a zillion barbies and barbie clothes. Can confirm barbies are still fun af
Not sure which one I prefer. I think both have really good act 1’s and great performances. And then both get lost in the sauce a bit as they go on, they both exhausted me.
barbie’s foibles are more “oh so the studio forced you to do this dumb shit” whereas eeaao’s are “oh you guys were REALLY high huh”
As far as recent movies with great opening acts that get lost in the sauce as they go on, Beau is Afraid is king.
I loved a lot about it throughout it and am glad it exists and that I saw it in a theater. I support talented artists being indulgent. But, my goodness did it wear me down a lot in the back half, lol. To the point where, when the end credits started, I laughed out loud at it finally reaching the end. If I revisit it someday, I’ll probably split it up into multiple sittings.
Infinity War’s Thanos actually sucks, but that’s a conversation for one of the several active Marvel Studios threads.
Tag me into one of the several active superhero movie threads and I’ll give my unpopular takes on good and bad villains in said films.
