Waiting until the movie is a massive success to critique the alt-right critique just makes Rogan look like even more of a chump
I tend to think Rogan is more stupid than malicious. I don't think he intentionally waited to see how the film performed to decide where to jump in.
I do think the attention given to takes by people like Ben Shapiro, in this thread & elsewhere, is very annoying. We should be able to talk about these movies and whether or not they’re good without letting the discourse orbit the corniest bad faith commentators, lol. Truly do not care what an “incel” or whatever has to say about, idk, Captain Marvel.
We have learned that deplatforming works. Obviously this forum is not nearly as big a platform as something like Twitter, but a lot of far-right types that have been banned from various platforms mostly disappeared into irrelevance. Hate clicks are still clicks, unfortunately.
I hate that people hate Brie for simply stating that sometimes an incel's opinion on something just doesn't matter
I loved this so much! Best comedy in a long time. Didnt even dip in the 3rd act, it stayed hilarious and hit mark story wise. Felt very seen as a horse loving hat boy. Listened to matchbox 20 on the way home
Toy Story 3, Titanic, Jurassic Park, Return of the King, Avatar 2, The Dark Knight, Barbie, Top Gun - some pretty amazing movies have made a billion. Then you have something like…. Alice in Wonderland
