After googling and listening to the first two minutes, nope, definitely never knowingly heard this in my life.
Push was the perfect song lyrics wise. Also the godfather was great but something like fight club might have been better.
On second watch, I think this is the most I’ve ever been impressed from a filmmaking standpoint. Everything about this sounds awful on paper but absolutely crushed in execution.
Also upon seeing this anyone seriously claiming it’s just an “anti-men” movie doesn’t understand anything about the messaging of the movie lol. But I think no matter what the film actually portrayed that group of people was always going to find a way to hate it anyway.
I just got out of this and really really liked it, I think it’s Ryan goslings best performance, I don’t think it had like some huge feminist statement atleast not to me considering I am trans and have heard and thought about what America Ferreira’s character was saying for a long time. I can see how it’s new to some though and impactful. I really loved the choreography!
The films' politics aren't really controversial for most people but it very surgically pokes at far-right grievances.
