a very fun theater experience i agree

 

Song of the year

 

Truly the most fun weekend at the box office in.... I can't remember how long. We got two excellent unconventional blockbusters made by filmmakers at the top of their game that are both taking over the world and will probably both be in the best picture, director, actor and actress conversations come oscar time.

 

this was decent. the middle kinda dragged for me but the first 40 or so and the last half hour are incredible. oh my god the references greta and noah stuffed in this.

 

Agreed. I really liked the beginning and the final act. Between her going into the real world abd meeting Rhea Perlman - Ehh. Definitely pulled the “Lego Movie” wire act of being a corporate propaganda while also commenting on it. Really beautiful ending.

 

This was so damn good. Bravo to Greta for this.

 

Had such a blast, can't remember the last time I laughed this hard at a movie and the people at my viewing were in stitches too. Some gripes with the middle or last act (it feels like it just ends when it barely scratched the surface in regards to some of the messages and the way the relationship between Ferrera and her daughter evolves feels a bit rushed), but I already can't wait to see it again.

 

The last line of this movie is so fucking funny.

 

The soundtrack is like half good and half terrible. Whoever thought to recreate Crazy Town’s “Butterfly” should be detained.

 

I have hated that song since it was a hit, and it just keeps getting brought back into my life.

 

I feel like you either hate or love the Butterflies song and I love it haha
I do think the Charli, Lizzo, Fifty Fifty, and Pinkpantheress songs are the only ones I can ever see myself revisiting

Orange County was also a formative movie for me haha

 

i will die on the hill of butterfly, an abysmal song, being better than pretty little ditty
