Pretty surprising that Neon passed on it. A24 makes sense since their brand of horror is a little more esoteric.
Seeing this in 4 hours. Besides seeing the trailer twice, I have no idea what I’m in store for and I love it.
This was so fun. The performances from the leads were fucking fantastic. When the score first hit as Tess first goes down the tunnel it made me realize there was never any score before that. I got major chills. Agreed wholeheartedly with the Castle Freak comparisons. That felt like a really fun pull.
loved the first thirty minutes of this. wasn't necessarily on board with every decision made after that. i had fun though
Really wanted to catch this in theaters, but time has just been so hard to come by lately. Will be watching on HBO Max it looks like.
I'm very curious if people have the same experience with this at home. I know the trailer and the theater experience definitely contributed to the fun for me.
