Beat Union were so good too. Their drummer went on to join Lostprophets (uh) then No Devotion and he's now part of LOWLIVES. I was a big Madina Lake fan back then too. They've reunited and put out an EP couple years back, but I haven't heard from them since. A shame since I remember them saying they wanted to wrap up the story they had written during their initial run. Honestly I'm unfamiliar with most of them so I'd be curious to hear all those bands I missed.
Burden of a Day Oceana (when they were still screamo) In: Aviate Closure in Moscow Page France Horse Feathers just some others ones I like to bring back into the thread every so often
I miss a lot of the pop punk bands from the 2010s that faded away, still listen to a lot of these bands heavily, others not so much · City Lights · Kid Liberty · Such Gold · I Call Fives · Veara · Fight Fair · Rust Belt Lights · Daggermouth · Pentimento · Freshman 15 · We Are The In Crowd · Patent Pending · Hit The Lights · For The Win · These Hearts · Major League · Lions Lions · True Things · Boys No Good · The Swellers · Crucial Dudes · Home Sweet Home/Crunkasaures Rex · Bad Case Of Big Mouth · Youth Decay · Red Car Wire · The Boys After · Carridale · Forever The Sickest Kids · Like Torches · This Time Next Year · Close To Home · Set Your Goals · Forever Came Calling · Heart To Heart · Abandoned By Bears · Misser
this might sound weird but in the earlyish days of instagram (like 2012, 2013) when people would just follow each other all the time because they hashtagged #poppunk on a post, this one girl and I followed each other and she posted about Patent Pending all the time, she was seemingly at every show of theirs around New York. and I have never listened to Patent Pending
There is a very distinct reason why I didn't put City Lights on here haha Literally the first lyrics in this song
i know them personally and that song isn't supposed to be taken seriously at all. i totally forgot about it, the ep is literally called rock like a party star , also funny that someone reuploaded that music video holy shit the quality hahaha that song is so cheeseball. i mainly jam their second full length album.
wow Jet Lag Gemini, I was really into that one album. I remember seeing them at Warped Tour I had that Fully Down album but can't remember at all what they sound like
Can't find their thread but I like the new Letter Kills song. It really sounds like the mid 00s in the best way, reminding me of other ap.net approved bands in the same realm (Lorene Drive, Meriwether, Forever Changed). Have actually never heard their older stuff so I'll have to give it a listen afterwards.
I remember really enjoying this album back in the day, some Thrice Alchemy/Beggars vibes but with much more overt christian themes.
