WOW I am having quite a random memory throwback to Army of Freshmen, do you remember this band?? This song doesn't really hold up haha, but I definitely remember this album
Not heard of them in a minute haha. The song and video screams 00s. I just searched them and was shocked to see they’re still a thing and have consistently released new music over the years.
Just Surrender- If These Streets Could Talk (ETR127) Enjoy The Ride just pressed this on vinyl. Pre-orders started today.
Used to love that album! But wow the artwork is even worse than I remember haha. This style was all the rage in the 00s for a lot of scene bands though. But I guess don't judge a book by its cover.
i just listened to the album for the first time in like a hundred years, and i'm shocked by how much i still remembered from it haha. it holds up!
does anyone remember the details of what happened between The Cab and FBR? i've been listening to Symphony Soldier a LOT lately and i can only vaguely recall why The Cab were released from the label; did fbr not agree with the direction of the record? i can't imagine since that record is phenomenal
This thread seems fitting. Everclear. Just found out they're playing the local fair here in a few weeks. Would never have known if I hadn't had to use a work car with no Bluetooth so I had to listen to the radio and heard it advertised on there. Got tickets for $12. Im hyped. @irthesteve I feel like you'd care!!
I love Everclear with all my heart, their formative years were top notch. But... I saw them live maybe.. 7?8? years ago.. and it was rough. I think Art is with an all news band and it wasn't great. Hopefully he's gotten better since then, but.... I dunno. Anyway, they have 4-5 excellent albums
There’s so many bands from the old Militia Group days I miss like Brandston and Umbrellas. Also miss New Atlantic.
Tallhart were so great, I'm always sad they called it quits so soon. Revisit their discography often.
tallheart was so good. Reed has been putting out some good music still. are any of the other dudes still doing music?
I remember seeing them opening for From Indian Lakes and being like "who are THESE guys?!" their singer was so exceptional. I think Chris is doing some stuff, he was on a podcast and I remember when asked about Matt Segallos he said he didn't know if he was doing anything but hoped so or something. Really wish he'd do something because his lyrics/voice were something else. Fighter gets me every time.
For 12 bucks I'm definitely willing to take the risk and find out! Typically when bands come here for the fair they're not really at their peak lol. They can now join such honorable ranks of bands who have played our Fair like smash mouth and bowling for soup
