Marry a thief - another great album. and their drummer (I think) sent me a bunch of unreleased new tracks after they broke up
I wouldn’t say I loved her music, but Ryn Weaver will occasionally come up on Spotify or shuffle and it’s kind of crazy she had an indie hit and debut album produced by Passion Pit, Cashmere Cat and Benny Blanco and just didn’t do anything after.
I love that album so much, but yeah she just hasn't released anything since. I follow her on social just so I can keep an eye out but she rarely even talks about music
She released a single or two like last year and it seemed like more was on the way...but nope. Adore that song though.
Magic people. They had so many album's, so many others went by that artist name, and idk where they're from so further they'll be confined to one burned CDR I have from high school
Goddammit, I was just listening to As Tall As Lions - You Can't Take It With You today and I forgot how perfectly amazing that entire album was from start to finish. Too bad they got big during the heavy pirating era of music and had to fade.
Wow, yeah. I didn't even know that was the singers name, but I just looked him up and he's written / produced a bunch of stuff. No surprise, I guess. He's ridiculously talented and the sound quality of their music just got better and better as the band's career progressed.
Hm, maybe they were a bit more polarizing than I thought, thinking their unique sound would give them some audience. After their break up only Brandon, the singer, had some kind of a career first as Roy English and now as Jagwar Twin, collabing with some known artists from time to time. They did release a single 2018, and I thought I heard they were doing some new stuff, but nothing since then.
I liked the Eye Alaska EP, and maybe a few off their album. Kinda ahead of the trend. Also, Shades Apart just released a song after 19 years which was surprise to me.
Forgive Durden is always the biggest one that comes to mind for me. Also You Me And Everyone We Know although they are sort of a band still.
Just went on Spotify to listen to some Kaddisfly and Jesus Christ, they have under one thousand monthly listeners?! Absolutely criminal for a band that put out one of the best albums of the '00s.
I know most of the members are busy making music in Code Orange, but Adventures was such an excellent band, and I've heard absolutely nothing about them since 2015. I miss them.
