These guys too. I’ve definitely posted about Pentimento and The Tower and The Fool but I especially miss these two bands. So many vivid memories listening to the first The Tower and The Fool EP.
Yeah I asked in the Q&A thread about the reason and no one remembered. A mystery for the days Anyway I just got this band in my head for the first time in a decade, because I was suggested a popular song by a pop band with the same name
I forgot they were called The Automatic Automatic in America. I remember seeing their CDs around at the radio station.
I wasn't aware of that, which surprised me. Spelling out their name must've been annoying. It's both a blessing and a curse Monster ended up becoming their most well known hit because they had some good stuff on the albums, that song wasn't really representative. I especially loved them once Paul Mullen joined the band and added dance-punk / slight post-hardcore influences into the mix.
The Elijah didn’t really fade away, just called it quits and started an apparel company, I think, but just popped up in my shuffle. one of those bands whose production value exceeded their reach. guess it makes sense they decided to just make merch. this album still rules, though. was also Michael McGough’s band before he joined Being As An Ocean (who could probably fit that description above in their early days, as well).
Something with Numbers They were such an energetic and engaging live band. Jake (singer) formed another band with Shawn Harris of The Matches called 'Maniac'. This song still shreds;
Look who showed up in my Facebook feed for the first time in probably eight years or something: Jacobi Wichita Jacobi Wichita
ahh growing up in Norwalk, CT Jacobi Wichita was always playing in my car in high school. Hey, Hey, Hey Take It Easy is still one of my favorite songs to play on guitar.
For the longest time it has been Acceptance but yeah, they came back after a really long time so I hope for some other I will mention this might happen too, doubt it though. On the other hand faded away might not be totally correct in some cases. Eye Alaska InnerPartySystem Ivoryline Number One Gun InPassing Swimming With Dolphins Search The City Broadway Let's Get It And there are some bands which kinda came back/might be back/will be back: Conditions (happend to some extend) Jamie's Elsewhere (will actually come back soon, I think) The Lives of Famous Men (suddenly after over 10 years just dropped a new song)
Familiar with Ivoryline, Number One Gun, and Search the City. StC's debut is one of my all time favorites.
That first Innerpartysystem EP was sooo good. One time I saw EyeAlaska and the singer came out wearing a backpack and sunglasses and eating an apple. I was so confused. Haha definitely stuck with me.
Love Eye Alaska and his backpack lol. I used to work at Fearless when they were signed and everyone knew me as the only guy who loved the band haha
