Not sure if anyone here was into the band LONG SINCE FORGOTTEN back in the day, but the singer has been doing some Facebook live video streams of him playing some of their songs acoustically, It's been pretty cool to watch!
Listened to Mending by The New Frontiers for the first time in a while the other day and it got me on a kick of listening to all the bands I loved back in the mid/late 2000’s. I didn’t realize how many of them were no longer active at all. Most of these have prob already been mentioned. Paper Rival Anathollo Annuals Colour Revolt Park Edison Glass Someone Still Loves You Boris Yelstin As Tall As Lions
Been blasting The Morning Of this morning. I forgot how good their The Way I Fell In album was. Anyone know what happened to them? Any recommendations for current active bands/artist like them?
Was just reminded of Of Machines. As far as late 00s, early 10s post-hardcore (or whatever we're calling it) goes, that band was cool as balls. Shame their singer ended up being a tremendous cock weasel, but, at the same time... y'all coulda just got another vocalist. Or pulled a Tides of Man and went instrumental. My disappointment was immeasurable and my decade was ruined.
Brazil should've been big in the post-hardcore scene. Big vibes of Circa Survive, At The Drive In and early Foxy Shazam Still listen to all of these regularly thanks to this site
Man, I loved Treble Charger. I still like them. I didn't know until recently that Greig Nori co-wrote all the songs on All Killer No Filler. I knew he managed them and all that but I didn't realize he was involved with the writing, but if you think about American Psycho it makes a lotta sense.
You may already know this, but if you're referring to the self-titled Pacifier album from 2002, that band has 8 other albums (most recent in 2014) under the name Shihad. They just changed the band name to Pacifier for that one album.
Yeah I forgot about that and noticed a couple minutes later. It's been forever since I listened to them... after finding out about them from someone who lived in NZ that I was friends with on MSN Messenger that I found in an AOL chat room. Oh, I miss the old AOL days...
Oh man I used to love K Sera. These are both good examples. I was just spinning Lunch for the Sky on my turntable the other day.
