Her song Tangled Up In Me was on my Nickelodeon Kid's Choice CD wayy back in, like, 2003? Not sure of the year. CD also had Welcome to My Life by Simple Plan and On The Way Down by Ryan Cabrera and was jammed non-stop in my walkman.
The whole situation with their last album and their label still bums me out. They should have been way bigger.
Oh man! I used to love Just Surrender. Its really a shame they never put out that new EP they teased a few years back. I think they're just randomly touring these days.
Their sound was built for radio. They absolutely should have made it big, but they’re another band that got screwed by a major label that didn’t care about them.
Scenic Attraction They put out a release called “Short Cry For a Long Lie” and had this song “Band-aid for a bullet wound” that I would play constantly on repeat every summer. I lost it and none of their music is on YouTube or Apple Music except for these two tracks from the record:
Holy shit I finally remembered Tickle Me Pink from talking about how I saw them open up for Hawthorne Heights!
what was the name of the band whose music video was them lip syncing while paparazzi shoot random celebrities in los angeles? it was from like... 2008 or something like that, and i'm pretty sure i remember paris hilton and maybe lindsay lohan popping up in it. basically anyone that was popular around that era, haha.
On Friday, Audio Karate are releasing 2 songs that they recorded after Lady Melody and before they broke up, first one is out now Audio Karate unearth "lost" songs for new 7″, playing shows w/ Descendents
Whoa I had completely forgotten about this band, I loved that EP, just ordered it on Amazon haha. It was 2 dollars if you are interested.
I don’t really blame SYG for not doing much lately. They never were that huge compared to their peers and doing a reunion tour wouldn’t really bring in the bucks.
Especially this time of year. Wish we got one more record from those guys. I remember being surprised when they formed that the guy from Therefore I Am could do the alt-country/indie/sad bastard folk thing.
A Static Lullaby “Faso Latido” is one of my top 5 all time favorite records. I never understood the hate for this album one bit.
