Yeah Taylor is a pretty funny dude the times I've seen them live (Strange Nerve is cool too) but he just seemed super out of it that time. Seems like he's in a better place now at least
Ivory! Man. I really dug that band a lot. Not sure if they've been mentioned yet, but Jonezetta was great. I liked their first record well enough, but "Cruel To Be Young" was as good as it gets. Probably my favorite Aaron Sprinkle production.
I don't know about the band, but I loved this song. The only good thing to come out of watching Bubble Boy.
I'm moving so I've been packing and came across a signed Jonezetta poster in my closet the other day. I loved that band so much.
Grand Archives. The unreleased demo songs that they put out for free around 2010/2011, Villains demos Vol.'s I & II, are some of the best songs in recent years as far as I'm concerned. I still listen to the ones I have regularly. I had them all at one point but lost some in between iPods and computers dying and being replaced, and have only been able to track down some of them on YouTube and such.
Mashlin anyone? I just randomly thought of them and went to listen to "The Shore." Ended up listening through the whole album. Still pretty solid!
Well I know what I'm listening to the rest of the day! Such a fun band! It was nice to hear Vinnie full on screaming.
You a fan of The Reign of Kindo? They're what the members of TD&A formed after they broke up and as much as I enjoyed TD&A, I much prefer having Kindo around, ha.
I know I mentioned them in passing here, but for real: Goodtime Boys were an amazing band and I'm always so, so bummed when I remember they aren't making music anymore. In an overstuffed hardcore 'scene,' these guys actually had a unique sound, and I think they were on the path to creating some truly incredible music. It's a shame that they called it quits when it seemed like they were finally building a (small) head of steam. Still, I'm grateful for what we got...
Have I already discussed Far-Less in here? A Toast to Bad Taste was so good. My friend broke his arm on the night of a Far-Less show so he couldn't make it and I got the ticket and it was a very good show, thanks bud.
I do not. I'm pretty sure all of them are still friends. They've all toured/played shows together in the years following so I'm assuming it was amicable.
Oh sweet! That's good to hear...a friend and I were discussing this the other day after listening to Chin Up.
I saw some people mention Alive in Wild Paint in the thread. Travis Bryant is making new music and was recently interviewed on the Raw Feed Radio podcast. He does a couple acoustic covers Terminal "Dark" and Alive in Wild Paint "A Vespertine Haunting" and premiers a new song demo.
