Perhaps lol I have aways meant to give Terrible Things another go. TCF was amazing to me, so there has to be something in TT I like
I saw them open for Hawthorne Heights once in a smal club. Their song 'The Only One' hooked me and I bought their stuff that night lol
I thought Fallen From the Sky was going to be huge, looking back it was probably just me trying to fill that the Movielife void.
Also, never had more than two songs from these guys in my high school days. But this list inspired me to go back and listen to their first album, and i think they may very well qualify....
I don't blame you, man. I made my parents drive 5.5 hours to see them (I was in middle school and they never played any shows closer to me), and I don't think any of us regret it, haha. The timing was pretty fortuitous too since it was one of their last shows.
Lots of good memories with Every Avenue. "Bad Habits" is a great pop-rock record and I was sad to see them call it quits after what I thought was their best work.
Ha, I interviewed Obie Trice in 2006 for my college newspaper. I remember the first time I called him, he was in the studio with Em. Cheers was a good album.
The first half of The Color Fred album is really good but I think there is a significant decline in the second half of the album. I was lucky to see The Color Fred open for Straylight Run (along with Cassino) back in 2007. My god, what a show. As for Terrible Things, I thought that was a GREAT album, front to back. I really miss Fred making music. Sucks he kind of fell off the face of the earth.
I think about this band all the time. I liked Voices, but loved Stories and Alibis even more. Both are great albums.
Top 5 band from that time period! All extremely nice guys too. Spencer was the drummer for STD for a brief stint too
He looked like he was like 45 when he first joined TBS haha. I remember being surprised back then that he was as young as he was.
I don't think I ever heard another song from this band, but "I Love You 'Cause I Have To" was my jam in the summer of 2004. I remember playing it nonstop with my friends on a trip to the beach. Never got around to picking up the album for some reason.
Top 5 Addictions you mean. But yeah, that album is amazing. That song, A Minor Detail, and Halcyon Daze are still on my regular playlist.
