So many great bands in this thread that I haven't thought about in years. I forgot how excellent The Graduate was.
I didn't love Edison Glass as a whole, but I thought that this was a decent record with some really amazing individual tracks. To me this album would have been the one before their album that would cause them to get big but that never happened.
The vocalist on this record's other band Conditions probably fits the bill here. Also "The Separation Of" is a sick song
Anyone remember that band That Was Something? Their record Bears! (Pre-Bradley from Emarosa) was a lot of fun
Woah, this band would play locally alllll the time haha they were always solid but I took them for granted
Oh wow, I remember this band got a bit of hype on APnet in like 07. Never stuck with me but the guy had a cool voice
I liked them since their four song ep and they were all really cool guys, it sucks they broke up so quickly. Though, I think if they got big like they should have; bands like every avenue would not have. They toured with permanent me and plaint white ts and then called it a day. I don't even know if they're on Spotify. I had one of their shirts but this girl I know was a kleptomaniac and stole it from me when I wasn't paying attention, I wish their was a forgotten bands mercy store haha
From what I remember, my friends who had a media company told me that their singer was a pedo so I'm glad they faded away
He hit on an underaged girl in front of them while they were waiting to start the interview, some things happen for a reason hahaha
Anybody ever listen to Via Coma? They sort of reminded me of TREOS and I thought they were gonna blow up but they just kinda fizzled
I bought it there too, had to support them. They had a solid crowd though, I was happy. Sucks they had to break up, I still am not sure why.
Looking back, 2008/09 was the bridging between "neon" scene pop-punk and the "real" pop punk bands that all ripped off Lifetime/Through Being Cool. When I was like 18 I was all about that shift in sound, but looking back I feel like I'm way more likely to listen to Daphne Loves Derby than say, Man Overboard.
Anyone remember Sparks the Rescue? I remember their second album got like one star in fucking Alternative Press, but I liked the first one. Very corny but catchy.
Paulson, Audio Karate, The Jealous Sound (although at least they've been active in the last ten years)
