Nightmare of You was great! Wasn't that the guy from The Movielife? I saw them open for The Spill Canvas ages ago, and their live show was a lot of fun.
Not sure they've been mentioned in this thread, but I remember back in 2008, seemingly every user on AP.net had a boner for The New Frontier's album Mending. Pretty sure they broke up after one album.
I know it's weird to quote an 8 month old post by someone I've never interacted with ostensibly completely out of nowhere, but... ...he just posted on Facebook "Been working on other stuff besides Violents this past month..."
Seconded except I saw them on the reunion tour last year and once before so I don't miss them terribly. I heard Sisky plays bass for Carly Rae Jepsen now. They've probably already been brought up in this thread (I'm not going through all 20 pages) but I was really into Armor For Sleep and they are gone.
Over It. Saw them open for Tsunami Bomb back in 2005 and fell in love instantly. Silverstrand is still one of my favorite albums and "Siren on the 101" will forever be the catchiest tune ever written.
I had the biggest crush on her back then. I've seen them 4 times with her on vocals, I miss them as well!
The way I took it as bands that aren't around anymore, I guess I wasn't paying attention! The Spill Canvas is a good answer then, since nothing with them is happening.
Burns Out Bright- Save Yourself a Lifetime (The album got a fair amount of hype on AP when it came out, and then I guess they just broke up) Grace Read (opened for Jesse Lacey & Kevin Devine on their acoustic tour in 07. Think she finally put out her EP in like 2012 and then vanished)
FYI Josh Moore from Beloved put out a solo album in 2015. Its a pretty good alt-country singer songwriter thing
Wikipedia says: "On August 27, 2016, the band announced that they are writing some new songs for the new album, expected to be out in 2017."
I remember that tour sooooo vividly and being excited to see more from her, and then I never did.... maybe it's time to search for that EP, I didn't know that existed!
