Phantom Planet Hometown Hero Terrible Things Dead Man's Bones Fort Minor The Hush Sound Nightmare of You Northstar
If Phantom Planet made a concept album about abortion, then I have not been nearly as tuned in with the music world as I've always thought.
I forgot to mention June in my post. They came up on my iPod randomly this morning. Two solid albums.
Just read through most of this thread and it reminded me how much i loved Loudermilk, Park, The Graduate and Goodbyetomorrow back in the day. Going on a listening binge of all of those today.
There was a band Lost Ocean, they only put out a self titled album as far as I can tell. I am obsessed with it though.
Does anyone know what happened to Vendetta Red? Update: Nevermind, it looks like they are still doing a few one-off shows around the Seattle area.
They released 2 EPs in 2013 that embraced more of the hardcore sound. There's some pretty cool stuff on the first Sirens Sister record that's more of the softer side of VR.
Wow, looking through this thread reminds me of so many albums i bought back in the day and completely forgot about...Letter Kills, Vendetta Red, The Junior Varsity.
I've been searching for a certain Name Taken song I don't recall the name of, and have never found it. Probably from a first EP or something but it's one of those 'i'll know it when I hear it' sort of things...it's been like 10 years. Paper Rival would be nice to have back...
I've got a Drive Thru playlist just for those bands...I remember getting obsessed with Senses Fail realizing that screaming vox could be appealing and they were the gateway band that got me into heavier things.
Homegrown...love the riffs on Kings of Pop Broadway Calls too, when their Bassist left they just weren't the same...would love to hear a political song from them given the current climate.
