You probably already know but the singer is now in Foreign Air. Indie instead of emo but still distinctly his voice.
they came on shuffle the other night on my metal playlist on my iTunes and i was like aww fuck yeah, i forgot about them but their debut is soo good, i agree it would've been nice to get more from em
I can’t remember the name of this band and I’m hoping someone here can help: They an Australian indie rock band that were active in the early 2010s, and only released a few singles and one ep. Their music was kind of atmospheric, and the singer was a tenor. The EP cover was like a dust color with horizontal lines, almost like a woods/trees and water. One of the the songs were like The Sound of Living or Silence or something like that figured it out: Art of Sleeping
“May I Bum a Smoke” was such an insane single choice and yet it still pops into my head all these years later unprompted. Love the first album though.
I apparently saw Driver Side Impact here in SoCal with Mayday Parade and completely forgot Mayday was headlining that show. I knew their keyboard player from his super small political punk band in Cleveland that my brother played shows with; now he’s a right wing crypto bro. What a throwback.
listening to This Too Shall Pass by The Fold right now, still a really fun album. I remember the followup being pretty good, but the one after that I think is where I tuned out. I just learned today that they are still a band??? And they've released like, 3 albums I didn't even know existed AND they did a bunch of Lego Ninjago music... all is pretty wild Anyone ever listen to anything past their 3rd album?
I checked out some of the Lego stuff when I saw that they were playing a Lego convention around here, which is also when I learned that they’re from the suburb I live in now and went to the high school my kids will go to (along with Tom Higginson from Plain White T’s). I should listen to the other albums soon, but I love the first two.
I had This Too Shall Pass back in the day but I remember thinking it really fell off after the first four songs. Never listened to any of their other stuff
