Not that they faded away but I am very impatiently waiting for A Fine Frenzy and Regina Spektor to put out new music OR tour. It's been way too long!
I really enjoyed/enjoy Ceilings. thanks for posting this though I didn't know of they were called something else before.
Oh ya I forgot to add A Weather. Everyday Balloons was such a great album. And Six Gallery. Actuallly putting Six Gallery at the top cuz they were phenomenal I wish they stuck together.
SOTY is still around, they're working on a new record right now. The band just doesn't tour much anymore.
Yeah idk, I thought it was super bland, but to be fair I had crazy high expectations and was also still a little bummed about them losing their singer. Haven't given that album a shot in a very long time, maybe I'll throw it on sometime soon and totally change my mind!
Yeah, and I think I'll go back and listen to the releases you were talking about and see if I can see your perspective on it haha. With context I'll probably get why it seems bland comparatively and all.
Haste. Was just listening to The Mercury Lift yesterday and forgot how amazing that record is. Shame they were just hitting their stride on that one and then nothing...
A lot of the Rushmore Records bands would fit in this thread too. Not necessarily bands I loved, but bands that showed a lot of potential and pretty much disappeared with the label (Self Against City, Adelphi, The Mile After, The Track Record)
Don't know if this has been mentioned, but Jonezetta literally just disappeared. Cruel to be Young is one of the most underrated Tooth & Nail/Aaron Sprinkle produced albums out there.
Sorry for double post, but thinking about it, quite a few Tooth & Nail artists kind of just disappeared. The Almost - Aaron recently explained that situation, but there were years of nothing. Secret & Whisper - They really just never went anywhere, they're a top 10 band for me too. They occasionally give me false hope on their social media now, though. Neon Horse - This band is just bizarre, and they were always quiet, but they've totally just faded now. Did we ever find out who they were even? Fair - This was Aaron Sprinkles band. For some reason Aaron Sprinkle's music has never received any attention despite how insanely good he is. The band kind of just stopped being active, I think Aaron may have said recently that they are done doing it.
