Number One Fan I feel like I’m the only one that remembers them. I’m from Green Bay and they were from Appleton, a town over, so that gave them local legends status in the early 00s when the emo scene started to explode. Their first album Compromises (2003) 100% holds up today. Honestly it’s shocking how good it is for a virtually nothing band with no lasting legacy (outside of my household). If they got heard by Pete Wentz and signed to Decaydance/Fueled by Ramen (or even victory or drive thru or vagrant), I firmly believe they could’ve blown up similarly to The Academy Is, but even more radio friendly. I hate that I never saw them live. I was supposed to on Warped Tour 2004 or 2005 in Milwaukee, but they got scheduled right away and by the time I made it through the gates they were already done. After that I didn’t hear much about them, saw a post saying they were changing their names to The Wildbirds. I thought that was weird and a huge downgrade and then I never heard from them again. At least one of the members still lives in Appleton, 15 minutes from me. I kinda want to reach out
solid list Ten Underrated Albums From 2001 That Could Have Stopped 9/11 If Someone Were Listening to Them on the Plane
I was listening to the bank Sharks the other day and wish the lead singer had a project with him as lead vocalist. Think he is in another band on guitar or drums. Can't remember which.
One of my favorite lesser known bands from that era. Their debut EP should be seen as a scene pop-punk/emo pop classic in a fair world.
Nostalgia so hard. I remember discovering these guys on some music comp dvd called, “Homesick.” It was like this exact time of year in like 05.. Fun stuff.
Omg! Fuck yea. The self-titled EP is so so good. Didn’t like their full length as much.. has some gems, but that earlier work was so solid.
yeah that one. It feels the least “dated” of their records since it has the least screaming. “Calmer Than You Are” was a good one too
ASL rools! i met their guitarist on a stacked line up in 05, it was them, unwritten law, rise against, & sum 41! \m/
that was my only time seeing them! they were supposed to play this years california is for lovers fest, but i think they didn't end up playing in the end?
I liked the first three records. That last record was ETID lite and really bad fun fact: their ex bassist started that Desert Daze festival
yah it was just cool to see them get asked and they were down, HH reaches out to anyone and everyone from their old touring days to seeif they wanna come out for one of those various festivals, the lineups are always stacked too!
