Hahaha yeah I loved getting us on random shows like that. One time we opened for Frankie Muniz's band too haha. And one time we played at a thing called Llama Fest, and there were just a bunch of llamas hanging around that people could pet and stuff. Good times haha.
Nah, my response would've still been the same. It's fine. Anyway, it still sounds weird to me even if going by looks just because I think Wayne's haircut was so distinct. I mean, Spider from Powerman did have a similar spiked look, but Wayne's hair was like a tower. Not a commentary on you, BTW, if you're taking it that way.
Keep seeing these names pop up: Stand Atlantic Chase Atlantic Also I used to get Guided By Voices and Built to Spill mixed up, but I’m educated now.
This is super fucking hilarious because yesterday I was looking at the upcoming Built To Spill album, and I was confused that they hadn't put out an album in so long because I was sure they were the band that releases like a thousand albums a year, and I was like "then who am I thinking of?" And this was it. I was thinking of Guided By Voices. Wild.
Alexa always confuses Deerhunter when I ask for The Dear Hunter Neon Trees Neon Indians From Indian Lakes The Menzingers The Gaslight Anthem Tigers Jaw Tigers on Trains
the only band i would get confused with another is As I Lay Dying vs. All That Remains but after several years I think I'm finally confident enough to remember AILD is the one with the guy that tried to kill his wife
So I bought the spill canvas tickets when I definitely meant to purchase built to spill tickets. in retrospect, there were several red flags that I just blew right on through. but I guess I'm going to see The spill canvas next week. I do not know any of their music.
You won’t be disappointed. Super solid live act. I’d recommend listening to their most recent album, “Conduit.”
