Def Band of Horses/Horse the Band and Rise Against/Against Me in terms of names I thought the 1975's The Sound was that Shut Up and Dance band for the longest. idk why. I just assumed it was their follow up hit and never looked into it further. I'd only heard it for a few seconds a few times so that's my excuse there. I also get Calvin Harris/David Guetta's music mixed up for some reason. I attribute all of it to Calvin and forget Guetta exists sometimes.
I always thought Augustana was more of a "emo" / pop-punk band. I think I mixed them up with Anberlin.
same, I think because it's like okay I don't particularly like them but sometimes they'll have Florence or Sia or Rihanna on a song and I like them and like those songs
Sugarcult Switchfoot Silversun Pickups Silverchair Deerhunter The Dear Hunter Attack Attack! Attack! Attack! City & Colour Coheed & Cambria SZA RZA GZA Ghostface Killah Killer Mike The Strokes The Stooges
Bouncing souls / the smoking Popes Straylight Run / streetlight manifesto The aforementioned dear/deer bands Born against / rise against This is probably just because I don't listen to these bands. Never confused Boston Manor w Joyce Manor for example, bc I love Joyce.
I always confuse The American Dollar with Garbage And that is a joke about the impending ruination of the US economy. *bows*
Trophy Eyes/Trophy Scars and a ton of other bands already mentioned in here. Oh, also Blood Orange/Code Orange
Can't think of any specifically. But I do find myself mispronouncing band names. Usually because I initially misread the name and just continue to do so out of habit. For example I always say Joyce Maynor instead of Joyce Manor unless I try really hard not to.
