Seems to me like this scene has a lot of bands with similar sounding names. I tend to get them confused. Here is my (ever-growing) list. Feel free to add.

all those dear/deer bands. Isnt there bands called Dear Hunter and The Deer Hunter or something like that?

 

Yep, Dear Hunter/Deerhunter/Deer Hoof/Deer Tick/Dear and the Headlights. I know they're not all close in name or sound, but I still mix them all up.

Oceana and Oceano always confused me. I think one of them turned into Polyenso.

 

Appleseed Cast and Album Leaf, I always forget which is which

 

I constantly mix up Nelly and Usher

 

The Ready Set and The Summer Set always trips me up

 

Ooh that reminds me, my band opened for The Rocket Summer back in May. We abbreviated it to TRS when discussing the show amongst ourselves because typing The Rocket Summer takes like 4 seconds too long. Anyways the day we announced the show our singer announced we were opening for The Ready Set.

At first glance, Nick Cave/Nick Drake has always gotten me. I always think for a split second some new posthumous Nick Drake thing has come out.

I used to confuse Straylight Run and Streetlight Manifesto for some reason.

 

I always confuse Young Widows with Old Wounds. It because one of YW albums is called Old Wounds.

Bowling For Soup did the same thing with Stacy's Mom, they even recorded the cover and put it on ITunes so they could make some money off the confusion.

Not mixed up, but whenever I'm skimming the news on the site and see "Frameworks" I get excited because I think we're getting new "Fireworks". I think others had the same problem because it was mentioned it one of threads once haha.
