Any chance they actually announce the set times this week? Or they presumably gonna annouce them at the very last second
they actually used to release them a few weeks ahead of time. Can’t remember what year? 2011? But I went to New England Metalfest the weekend before and then Bamboozle and I picked who to see at Metalfest based on who I could see at Bamboozle. But yes I agree it will be a day or two ahead at best.
Someone pointed out today that there are supposed to be vip perks or they were promised perks like acoustic aftershow bonfire parties, meet n greets and stuff that shockingly hasn’t been addressed in any way shape or form yet.
The bamboozle schedule usually goes up at least a week before the show. It’s pretty much always been that way. It’ll probably be like dj, dj, dj, limp bizkit, local band, local band the entire thing lol shouldn’t be hard to decide what to see lol
My current long-winded, fan-fiction style prediction: This goes ahead "as planned." We might see a few bands drop off between now and the festival but leading up to it... But most everything will be "fine." And the festival "logistics" will go over without a hitch as far as security, parking, food vendors and the like are concerned. In part because only about 75% of the people with tickets show up given the underwhelming line-up. The cost of the ticket is long gone; might as well save on travel and hotel, right? But where the wheels will fall off is customer satisfaction with the people who do show up. The whole "upgrade everybody to VIP" thing will be a disaster and its gonna piss people off with long lines, crowded areas, overwhelmed WiFi, etc. Which is going to have a ripple effect among the staff dealing with agitated people. There are also going to be a number of festival features that are either super underwhelming compared to what was promised or just... Nonexistent. Given the relatively small attendance numbers it won't reach Fyre Festival levels but social media's gonna be interesting the whole weekend. Something similar to Blue Ridge but form a different angle: "I paid $400 for VIP and I'm hanging out with somebody who got a free ticket in that same section by scanning a free QR code." A few of these posts will probably go viral and there's going to be a bunch of bad press by the time Monday rolls around. John D will refuse to comment. Bands will mostly be fine with it all on the day-of. At least one of the bigger artists will have a major complaint that will be voiced on-stage and they'll cut their set short by 15-30 minutes. But afterward, we'll get word that certain artists didn't get paid what they were promised, etc. More bad press will follow. ...And Bamboozle never happens again.
I do think I’m gonna go Friday, so I’ll be able to comment on why most certainly will be the most packed of the three days now.
not worth a two hour drive for me even if its free. Fours hours of driving to see Limp Bizkit and maybe another band or two is not enough to justify an exhausting day. And hotel rooms arent cheap or worth it. Might me my age talking though lol
What if it wasn’t tho. How crazy would it be if the free tickets (which the fest hasn’t even advertised) went completely under the radar to anyone who’s not hate following this already. that would be the funniest and most damning thing possible
Weird but true sentence... even if it's free, I'm not gonna go because I'm gonna see Scene Queen instead
Even if free tickets start popping up for Saturday or Sunday, this lineup still isn't worth the 3 hour travel or the hotel costs. I feel like most people aware of the free ticket QR code feel the same way. I'm absolutely shocked that this didn't get cancelled. Also with this being in 9 days, I'm surprised we haven't heard of more bands dropping (yet). Can't wait to see photos of the sparse crowds.
I need someone to fly a drone over this thing bc you know John D is only gonna release photos taken from the main stage that are tightly zoomed in on the 500 most compacted people
I find it odd that we are 9 days away from the start of the festival and they havent posted on their social media in 5 days. Usually festivals will have a countdown or posts hyping the festival
I honestly hope I'm wrong and this thing gets cancelled. People deserve a refund and it's wild how much people are losing in selling some of these second-hand tickets.
Truly incredible to me that we're sitting here so close to the event and there are still so many unknowns. It will be an absolute miracle if this thing happens without a serious issue, or if it even happens at all
