Honestly the bands dropping off so consistently is just as entertaining as the bands initially getting announced at this piont
They also deleted the posts about the cyberbullying foundation both on Twitter and Instagram. The bidding to play Bamboozle is stil active on eBay tho
Because nothing is more Bamboozle than letting people keep bidding for a few days on a contest that no longer exists
Im actually torn on how to feel about that. On the one hand, every band that drops makes me chuckle at John D's misfortune. On the other hand, there are ticket buyers who are forced to go to this now, and it sucks that the few good acts on this bill are dropping like flies.
I think the general thought is that if enough bands drop the whole thing gets cancelled. But... I don't see that happening. So yeah, every band that drops (for now) is kind of a bummer. Also brings it one step closer to cancelling if it's a big enough act, though. I think Finch dropping would piss a lot more people off because that's definitely one of the "reunions" he was hinting at.
So far only 5 people have bid and it stands at $579. Not a lot of money, but Im sure John D will keep it. If the band plays or not, we will have to wait and see
“I should probably apologize” this is going to be so much funnier when A) he doesn’t apologize and B) this gets used against him in the court of law
Haha and now he says 15,000 will be attending. But just a couple days ago he said they've only sold 6,000 tickets? This guy has Trump-like delusions.
Remember, he said 6K sold already, projecting another 6K in the next 2 weeks. Then round up to the nearest 5K and you’re at 15. it’s laughably dubious math but I think I can see how he came to that number.
Shit I’ve been doubting the 6k figure was correct, guess I was wrong. I should probably just believe John D in an article about John D inability to tell the truth.
Just the epitome of a fake tough guy, cosplaying as a Sopranos background character threatening people.
You'll be approached soon with a wonderful opportunity to work in lincstar events accounting department
None of this is surprising. I remember I won the Book the Bamboozle contest many years ago which was advertised as a $2,000+ prize package. I had to fight with them and email 10 different people just to get 2 free GA tickets. I never received anything else from that package. It just put a bad taste in my mouth for a festival that I loved for many years.
They would probably make a lot of money if they had him in a duck tank with people throwing balls trying to sink him lol
