Not only is the prize money not enough, but typically contests like these have clauses saying that all entries are considered "work for hires" and so the artists are forfeiting any rights in their own work regardless if they win or not.
They own the artwork. But at least it's just for the person who enters and wins? "By submitting work and accepting the award, entrants acknowledge the Bamboozle Festival's right to reproduce images of their work for posters and showcase the winner on Bamboozle Festival's websites, social media feeds, print materials, and related products. Entrants should take care to ensure that their entries are not in any way similar to existing logos or other copyrighted images. We also request that the work be made by the artist, and not created using AI or computer-generated algorithms." Love how loose they are with the other requirements. LOL "Take care to not commit copyright infringement."
Ladies and Gentlemen they have removed the option to seek your tickets on the BAM app, completely gone, so again those people that trusted him from the beginning, not only aren’t getting a refund, they now can’t resell their tickets.
I have wondered these past days how people who bought VIP tickets (all 5 of them) feel about the free upgrade from GA to VIP. I would be pissed as they are not getting any extra perks for spending that much and trusting the festival
They also are now selling tickets to the fest on live nation as well now. It’s on like six different ticket platforms now. That’s how bad it’s selling. And those poor poor bastards who trusted him in the very beginning got screwed most of all.
I checked on their site and there is GA, VIP and MVP VIP tickets. And according to the FB group, VIP ticket holders got upgraded to MVP VIP. Im really curious to see how many NFT tickets they sold for each level
The tickets sold on Eventbrite are confusing, as they are selling tickets for Bamboozle Festival - The Break Artists (cost is $89) and Bamboozle Fetival - Jersey Loud (cost is $99), for each day of the festival. Are these tickets good to enter the festival?
