In the end it’s very obvious that this guy doesn’t get it. He thinks all the talk is about the lineup and really at the end of the day it really has nothing to do with the lineup at all. it’s about what he said, who he teased, promises made and not kept, the way he has handled things and questions people had. At the end of the day had he handled the expectations, charged $200 for the weekend. People would have been like alright, he would have gotten 5k and it would have gone off and been done for good but little talk would have happened. now it’s just a giant dumpster fire most likely drawing 2k-3k
I still can't get over the fact that he said the Coachella lineup wouldn't sell on the east coast, and that Depeche Mode can't move tickets in New Jersey. And then a second later says that his girlfriend is begging him to go to Depeche Mode's sold out Madison Square Garden show this summer. It's like he can't even keep track of the BS he spits out, even moments after he says them.
truly delusional. or saying that there are no good east coast festivals, then talks about Govball in the next breath. get your story straight my dude!
“I’m the CEO! I CAN SAY WHATEVER I WANT! NO ONE CAN FIRE ME! HAHA HAHAHAHA!” *podcast gets deleted 3 hours later*
I don’t know how true it is, but I see people saying they are gonna re-record it? Parts of it? They obviously knew it was trash.
Curious if the comp upgrade has anything to do with legal protection - he is on record claiming that people who buy the tickets first would get the best price, have the most incentives etc and is now selling them for cheaper. At least upgrading people to VIP is a way around this in case people try to sue or dispute the charges also cements how terribly this fest must be selling if the whole point of buying VIP is low crowds / exclusivity and he was able to upgrade everyone who bought presale tickets into this tier without blinking an eye
Thanks for the clarification and sorry I wasn't getting it earlier. Haha. But yeah, you're spot-on here... Either VIP isn't selling well or it's gonna be miserable for them all. This is a strong possibility. Could also be that it's not selling well too in an effort to save face. Either way, that fucking blows for anybody who did buy VIP to be honest.
Podcast is back up on Spotify and SoundCloud. Post is back up on Instagram too. Who wants to torture themselves and relisten to see what was edited out? UPDATE- ah I see in the comments that they edited out all the threats he made to the Alphonso guy. His lawyer definitely heard the podcast this morning and had an anxiety attack.
Guess they got their first payment. This has been a wild ride to watch. I want to know how many people will actually show up. Im still not sure where exactly this is being held in AC. Is it at the convention center?
They just announced a ton of djs lol very random. Idk if they’re trying to replace all the bands that dropped off or what.
