My Yellowcard date sold out too fast, and the resale is at $150. If they get added to either Saturday or Sunday that would definitely get me to attend and justify the cost.
I’m fascinated he is trying to sell this ridiculously untrue narrative. He had multiple arena level bands every year at Bamboozle.
Also looking at the comments and they're implying that Ice Spice is STILL playing. Perhaps as "Linc's Special Guest?" If Ice Spice and Yellowcard are actually playing, arguably two of the biggest draws they have, why are they delaying their announcement? The festival is in 60 days!
For shits and giggles I was clicking around on the Tickets page. After fees a 3 day pass now comes out to $400.. Sat/Sun single day tickets are $166 after fees. Yikes!
There’s a few bands I know of that won’t be announced until the end of the month. Lineup will be more than fine still too fucking expensive though
Funeral for a Friend teasing a 20 year tour, which seems much more likely than Yellowcard at this point
you won’t find out until you are at the stage. In 2012 it was brand new, one year it was a journey cover band
I remember there was one of those special guests in 2013 at Skate and Surf but don't think I ever found out who it was lol. Either that or I can't remember
If I’m remembering the train wreck that was 2013 correctly, the special guest was announced a few weeks beforehand and was Mayday. There was rumors of a special guest the Saturday that got scrapped when main stage fell behind. I heard through the grapevine that it was supposed to be an acoustic Travis Clark set.
AHHHH that's right I do remember the Mayday set now. I never went to Bamboozle so I was super stoked on Skate & Surf (first time seeing Fall Out Boy, and there were so many of my favorite bands at the time playing) but it was a real shit show of a fest lol
ahhh the famous we aren’t gonna have covered stages but it’s gonna rain all weekend? What’s the worst that can happen?
Vividly remember three things, people being so excited for Of Mice & Men and that stage being absolutely packed and Austin got shocked setting up, so he refused to touch another mic, so they played, the crowd sang and he just kinda danced around and mimed the lyrics Andrew WK being cut off just as he was about to play Party Hard the contest opener getting to play their full set to open the main stage cause it was a contractual prize, but then Miss May I getting cut to ten mins and then whoever was after them because they were so far behind on time.
We literally got stuck at main stage on Saturday. We wanted to check out Transit and Andrew WK and Of Mice but in between Streetlight and Lights the crowd crush got so bad there was no getting out and finding anyone again. Lights also cut her set crazy short, she kept getting shocked by her keyboard
I remember Taylor from Daylight/Superheaven really going off on the festival on stage too. Balance & Composure also seemed super pissed there was no cover. Like yes, let's just have everyone's gear get destroyed because of rain
Yeah there's a huge difference between the audience being rained on versus the artist being rained on. One is an inconvenience and the other is a fucking hazard.
Fun fact: Went to GCW weekend this past weekend at the Showboat and several times they said the next time you can catch GCW in Atlantic City is right here June 3rd and 4th at the showboat for TOS weekend.
My guess is that's just GCW being GCW. Events were not bad, I watched most of it and they were pretty eventful. Hoping for Masha to win, Can't stand Gage.
