I went to Bamboozle in 2009 and it was such a wild, fun time. Looking at the line-up now is truly wild. It was a mix of things that were going strong in the "scene" with some wild swings, a handful of comedians that would (mostly) go on to become much more popular, and some stuff a bit more on the "pop" tip. But it all felt fairly cohesive. The wildest moments for me were watching Anthony Jeslenik get agitated at the bass from Hollywood Undead on the main stage, and realizing years later that LMFAO went on right after Zach Galifinakis in the comedy tent. And seeing Set Your Goals, HorrorPops, and GWAR back-to-back is one of my favorite "stage runs" I've ever seen at a festival.
In 2011 I only went for one day, and in that day I caught Senses Fail, Jack's Mannequin, Further Seems Forever, Motley Crue and Lil Wayne. Also caught some partial sets from Fuel, Valencia and ICP. Such a crazy and fun day. (oh, and the night ended with finding out we killed Bin Laden ha!) I didnt go in 2009 but I'm looking now and that lineup was wild. The top of your lineup having No Doubt, FOB, TBS, Third Eye Blind, Demi Lovato, Sum 41, Rise Against, The Used and Asher Roth is the perfect blend of scene bands, 90s nostalgia bands, and current pop acts. Aside from Asher Roth that lineup would still kill today. Damn looking at those lineups has got me sad that we're not gonna get that solid cohesive blend this year.
I think there is still some chance there can be some reunion acts that have been rumored for 2023 that I’d care about seeing playing…The Academy Is.., Something Corporate, and one act that would get me there The Format (no rumors about them just mad they cancelled their 2020 shows I had tickets to)
Wow I didnt realize that they never rescheduled those Format shows. I wonder why, the demand was huge and I figured post pandemic they would've upgraded to larger venues.
Interesting. I thought when they finally cancelled them they said they might end up in bigger rooms next time. Either way, hope to see them someday.
Which means nothing, though. It means the radio station sponsors are paying them. It's no indication of their popularity right now.
I mean that wasn’t really my point…more or less that they are playing a free show less than an hour away from AC four months before they want people to spend hundreds to see them.
Someone in the comments on insta said Bamboozle confirmed on twitter ATL isn't playing, but I didn't see the tweet so idk. Can't trust anything they say anyway
I thought it was referring to his facebook posts in which he closed by saying “we will put up and the doubters will shut up”…so may not mean anything related to all time low
My final guess for headliners: Fall Out Boy - Lil Uzi Vert - Machine Gun Kelly - Demi Lovato - A Day to Remember - 21 Savage
So he’s waiting until Boston Calling, Bonnaroo, Gov Ball, and Coachella to announce their lineups/go on sale before he releases the rest of Bamboozle? By far the worst idea possible.
