I was under the assumption it was one announcement per day ending tomorrow. But who the hell knows at this point lol

 

No, they also did in LA. They played Dodger stadium on the Mania tour.

 

Maybe no artist will get announced today. Cause none of the artists want no exposure. I mean who is paying attention to this today besides people like us lol

 

I’d give them another few hours. We did get the Saves The Day announcement pretty late

 

This whole week is basically a dead zone. I can’t speak for everyone but a lot of people I know come home to their parents place for Christmas and stay until New Years with family and it’s not a time where anything ever really gets announced (except for a new Fireworks album apparently lol)

I feel like it’s marketing 101 to not announce shit during this period but clearly John D did not pass that class in school lol.

 

Or John D knew his phase 2 announcements were actually pretty lame and didn't want there to be a lot of attention to it because clearly we aren't getting any of the big headliners until phase 3

 

Yep. Even if they get Fall Out Boy, the other 2 headliners are also great, and the remaining bands are all awesome, they marketed this thing just about as poorly as possible. Missteps along the way at every possible opportunity

 

I can’t believe they didn’t make any announcement today. They clearly said announcements every day from 12/23 to 1/1. Just like they said phase two would be on 12/16 and then gaslit their audience when it didn’t happen.

It’s really embarrassing how poorly run this festival is lol

 

Im surprised they didnt even posted the Alex Sampson guy just to have something today.

Because of you I just found out Brokencyde are still active and that they performed at South By So What this year

So I guess that was phase two. Laughable.

So when was phase 3 supposed to start (and end up inevitably getting postponed or even cancelled)?

 

Phase 2 was promoted to be 10 days of announcements, including a headliner. Instead we got 6 announcements and a fucking puppet.

What makes this even sadder is that they’ve been teasing this festival for two years.

 

14 music acts (15 counting that Canadian tiktoker), a puppet and a poet in 8 days.
42 acts announced so far for a 3 day festival, phase 3 needs to be huge for this to be worth $360.

It really feels phase 2 was being booked on the spot.

 

Do we think they actually have headliners booked yet?

If they did they'd announce them. Adjacent had no problem booking and announcing their heavy hitters

 

I'm more just laughing that they just gave up on the phase 2 announcements because of all the feedback lol

 

The headliners are:

Trapt
Puddle of Mudd
Staind

 

Love Muddle of Pud

 

Maybe the wrestling will be between Attila and Trapt (and hopefully both of them loose)

 

I'd beat the homophobia and sexism out of both bands for free.
