I don't like Kayzo but the kids do so it's actually not that out of place honestly even if he is under the EDM umbrella. Still the only band I want to see is Scowl so I am just enjoying the garbage fire.
Also the booking is bad because he’s going everywhere on tour so yet another artist that people who care about him can see closer to where they live and gives people another 0 incentive to travel This festival needs more exclusives ASAP.
hes done songs with underoath, alex from atl, blessthefall, our last night, atreyu, and boys of fall all over the last couple of years
I think he also did a song with Bad Omens that's been relatively popular and he had I See Stars and Memphis May Fire open for him so the connection is there. Still don't like it though, but I don't think this festival is for me at all so whatever, just enjoying the chaos.
Have there been any exclusives yet? Last night I was scrolling through John Ds posts and for months he wouldn’t shut up about all the reunions that he snagged. Where are these supposed reunions?? About 40 acts have been announced so far and aside from Finch’s second announced show in years nothing seems special.
Kayzo is the 1st act I would actually be excited for. He's pretty big always plays towards the end of edm fests.. man throws down. I've seen him a bunch and he'll play songs from mcr. Underoath adtr and other metal emo adjacent artists
I don’t think so, I think Finch is the only one because they are only booked for one other festival (I believe?)
I think he might be a good bridge between EDM fans going for Steve Aoki and the scene kids. But probs EDM fans would still rather go to EDC in Las Vegas two weeks after (whee Kayzo is also playing) and scene kids would go to Adjacent.
I love kayzo. But also falls in the category of touring all the time. He does like two or 3 full u.s tours a year. So not a crazy get
Based on their website layout, there are only 8 acts left to announce (seems there are 2 sub headliners in there) and the 3 headliners
Looking at Kayzos tour dates now he’s got a 5k venue in NyC and an arena in LA. So I’ll chalk this one up to me being old and not knowing the younger acts.
There must be more than that. Otherwise I don’t know how they’ll spread only 55 acts across 3 days with 4 stages
I want to believe there will be more acts announced on the 3rd phase besides the headliners and maybe those 8 "coming soon" are just for phase 2
The only takeaway from this week is it made me listen to some Shallow Pools and Killboy and I liked what I heard.
Maybe Say Anything fits the same category? Its their first show in 5 years and same as Finch their only other show booked so far is WWWY
To give bamboozle the benefit of the doubt, having announced 40 acts so far for a 3 day festival, odds are this only about half the lineup so far. Im still remaining on the optimism side that this lineup won’t be a dumpster fire and will actually be pretty good when all is said and done
I mean the hours are different from other festivals Friday is 5-11 Saturday is 2-11 Sunday is 2-10 so maybe 55 bands work in that way live music might not start till 3/4 on Saturday and Sunday
In comparison riot fest has around 90 bands every year across 5 stages and Runs 11am-10pm every day but music doesn’t start until like noon/1 everyday
John D has said (though going off the track record, this could have changed) there will be 5 music stages and over 100 artists, bands, and performers (so the 100 probably includes magicians and other non music acts)
I mean I'm glad the younger fans will like the lineup, I just thought that I, the millennial with some disposable income, was the audience for this fest initially.
