So true. For what it’s worth, I thought I remembered them saying somewhere it would be on the 15th. Can’t find it anymore either
I was checking yesterday and found an older post that said December 16 but I can't find it now cause I don't remember if it was facebook or insta. either way, didn't John D say he doesn't have a marketing team for this so that he doesn't need to spend money on that and can sell tickets for less? lol
They def scrubbed some stuff off of there which had dates and stuff. You would think it would have to be before the holidays.
So last February I reached out to the Bamboozle email and Twitter and offered to help with social media and marketing in exchange for a weekend pass. I provided a resume, a cover sheet, examples of Ad work I’ve done before, etc. The specific things I offered to do was to moderate a subreddit, produce the podcast that John D made 1 episode of and then abandoned, and make sure all important posts were cross posted across all social media platforms. this was partially a friendly reminder that if they took themselves seriously as a brand, they needed to cross post to all platforms, and if their current social media person couldn’t do that, I could do it as a volunteer. their response was “So creative and we appreciate your work on this , but our social and digital teams are covered. If we need anything we’ll post”. Almost a year later, they STILL AREN’T POSTING IMPORTANT INFORMATION ACROSS ALL PLATFORMS
I wonder how much prices will increase with the next announcement. If ticket sales aren’t doing that great, wonder if that’ll factor into the amount he increases it by or if it’s already a pre-determined number
I would love bamboozle to come back with an amazing lineup and prove everyone wrong. I went in 2006 and 2008 and had an amazing time both times, but between the disappointing 1st wave and lack of an announcement today, I'm not super hopeful.
The only reasons I can see for not announcing today considering you are counting on people to buy before the holidays 1. A headliner said you can’t announce them yet. 2. Someone dropped big and they couldn’t find replacements yet 3. After the first announcement landed with a thud, he tried to bulk the lineup up and wasn’t able to secure new names 4. Just complete disorganization
I really thought that with all the Fall Out Boy teasing this week that they were going to announce a new album & tour dates today, including a Bamboozle appearance to coincide with the second wave. Guess not.
I personally think it was a bad idea to launch ticket sales close to the holidays. Who's spending most of their xmas budget on this weak ass lineup (so far)? Not me, that's for sure.
That’s actually why the big big tours and fests get announced before the holidays. I’ve actually been surprised at the lack of summer shed tours announced before the holidays and in previous years. Seems far less.
My wife and I 100% planned on going, had the funds aside, booked a room in AC and then the first wave only included Limp Bizkit and Finch that we wanted to see so we actually held off on buying tickets.
I will say Limp Bizkit 22 years after their hayday is still worthy of seeing. Soooo many classics and great stage presence. Saw them at MSG this past Spring. Feddy D still got it. But would I want to sit through a fest to see them play, no.
Yeah I know plenty of people who have either gotten Adjacent tickets, or have talked about planning to go. I haven't heard a peep about Bamboozle from anyone out of this thread, and I dont think anyone in this thread bought a ticket lol. I don't even think I've seen a single music publication write about the initial lineup announcement either.
I am completely convinced they have no additional headliners confirmed and are scrambling behind the scenes to try and book some.
