Best of luck buddy. Id say you have the right story at the right time, and I hope some production company agrees! I did think you had some silly voiceover on John D at first when the trailer started, which made me lol
Who was the person in here was it that said “the NFT tickets are a way for him to get money and keep it when this thing ends up being cancelled?” Like months ago….cause BINGO!
Holy shit: “We do see that Bamboozle has no funds left in their payment account and it was already suspended by Stripe,” he said, noting that disputes with banks or credit cards “will be a waste of time as response by Stripe will take a couple of weeks.” Yeah. This is gonna end badly for him. Hopefully. The fact that it was a NFT that was sold might help him legally but... Fucking ugh. I feel so bad for people now.
I don’t think that’s a really appropriate statement. I’m not going to claim to be an expert on chargebacks, but I’ve done a decent amount (particularly due to the 2020 shutdown) and I don’t think it has anything to do if the entity is willing to give money back or even has money to give back. I would imagine it would become a debt collections situation, but it shouldn’t affect the consumer
Oh, I'm sure most people with more than half-a-brain will be able to figure out a way to get their money back through the credit card company, etc. But it's still far more of a pain to do that than to just be automatically refunded the way it works through most ticketing companies. It's just a pain. And it can be pretty anxiety-inducing, even though you know you're fully in the right to be doing it. Or maybe that's just me. LOL
I think it’s important to remember the dude got where he is because he scammed so although it was supposed to be bamboozle going back to its roots, it was John who did instead.
Reading some posts and comments on the FB group, there are some folks having a rough time getting their money banks from their banks, even with the cancelation of the festival. Those BAM guys dug their own grave by working with Bamboozle
For all we know it might be John D replying to people from an undisclosed location just to get them off his back
Looking at their website, it looks like they are an Austrian company. Because of course he used some random Austrian company for his tickets.
I took a dive into their Twitter. It seems they were founded in 2019 and they are definetly European and have been in different conferences and such, but I couldnt found other events they have sold tickets for
Maybe he just used them to funnel the ticket sales to himself so he could buy more circuses lol no wonder they haven’t given refunds, he probably used everything up already.
I think it was more for the people who don’t know how to get refunds, it’s not a usual thing to cancel a music festival like a week before.
Lol just received this. To All Bamboozle Festival Ticket Holders: The cancellation of the event by Atlantic City was unfortunate and disappointing to all parties, including our fans. The refund process began Monday, May 1, 2023 and could take up to 90 days till funds are returned. Ticket purchasers, like you, can and must seek a refund from the point of purchase. In the event this does not result in a refund from any of our ticketing platforms, you can get a full recovery by contacting your bank or credit card company. Bamboozle Festival thanks all our fans for their patience during this process.
