This decision must’ve happened very recently, right? He was really going to go through with it until the city was like fuck off lol
Lmao fuck John D. Knew this would fall through. This is some quote in the APP article: "The timing wasn't right for My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy," said D'Esposito on a festival podcast. "I don’t think the future of Bamboozle is in emo."
No he didn’t file any of the required paperwork which means he didn’t plan on doing it. If he was going to do it he would’ve gotten a permit lol
I'm noticing that he's saying refunds should be "requested" at "point of purchase." I'm guessing places like Ticketmaster, etc. will issue automatic refunds. But I'm guessing anybody who bought a NFT ticket is fucked.
wowowowow thank GOD. I genuinely feel bad for everyone that bought tickets for this. fingers crossed people can get their refunds, dispute charges, etc
“Just days before Limp Bizkit, Rick Ross, and Papa Roach were set to take the stage, one of New Jersey’s most iconic music festivals imploded in spectacular fashion on Friday after its organizer was accused of hoodwinking and cyberbullying fed-up fans.” Unreal
With that being said if anyone figures out a way to successfully get a refund for an NFT ticket please let me know! One of my friends bought one and tried going through her bank and they declined to refund it since it was a transaction that was more than 3 months old and BAM told her they’re 3rd party and that she needs to contact bamboozle directly, which is…now not possible lmao.
i feel bad for people who cannot or are having trouble getting refunds but for the love of holy christ stoppppppppppppppppppp buying NFTs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hahahahahahahhah i just heard the news. Hahahahahahahahhahahahahahahhaha (breath) hahahahahhahahahahah I'm sorry. I can't believe it. I never thought it would outright be cancelled. The guy is a goober but its not like he's never run a festival before. Yeah he's an idiot and the reason bamboozle folded in the first place was due to his idiocy...but its not like he shouldn't know the details and legality of running a festival. We have talked about it at nauseum but why didn't he have a plan. Work all these kinks out, lock in a few big bands, and be ready to go? Or once you find out you can't get big bands...scale it back, make it a smaller festival, charge less and still be successful. Maybe its small for a year or two but once you regain credibility then you can get bigger again.
I think he failed to secure the insurance, permits on purpose. Like held out spending anymore money then he already had.
Please also use a credit card for large purchases like these so you can do a chargeback! I just did one for the first time and got my money back right away. Debit cards and bank transactions offer no protection!
