I feel like John has a very big misunderstanding between big names and acts people actually want to pay money to see.

 

I’d watch Limp Bizkit, Yung Gravy, Mayday Parade, Say Anything, Valencia, and Scowl, but definitely not nearly enough yet to commit to going.

 

He was salty over WWWY for a reason

 

I still cant believe he tried to insult Adjacent for having only two headliners when his fest has 9. Every act in Adjacents top 10 is bigger than the top 4 names listed here lol

 

Can't justify a $300 weekend ticket right now for that.

 

Adjacent gonna move some more tickets today.

 

Who is buying tickets to this based off this announcement ?

Like, im no concert promoter BUT if you are going to do announcements in waves shouldn't each wave have a big name to pull an audience...especially your first wave

 

ya... so far I'm glad I committed to Adjacent and didn't let this one get to my head. Say Anything is the only band I truly love on here and after the last year with Max who knows if it even happens/how it goes when it does. Boys Like Girls would be cool to check off the list, and Saosin and Limp Bizkit are solid but nothing else excites me beyond like "sure I would go watch them".

Good luck selling $250-300 passes for this...

Lineup does nothing for me aside from Bizkit and a few smaller acts. Adjacent is way more for me

 

In hindsight I feel like I should have seen this coming when John D spent months JUST hyping up the NFTs, tiktokers, e spots, clowns, and arcade rides.

his goal was always to create a music festival for people who really don’t care about the music. I guess when someone shows you who they are, you should believe them.

 

Jeez. This has me thinking of doing Adjacent... I assume the hotels/airbnbs are crazy expensive for that weekend already though

 

lmao that lineup straight sucks. truly was not expecting something that bad. spill canvas is cool, have not cared one bit about say anything in over a decade. steve aoki? at bamboozle?

 

not that this is a big deal at all but putting Yung Gravy in the "Seniors" section when he has really only blown up over the last 6-12 months made me laugh. commit to the bit and put him in freshman or something, my dude

 

Is Rick Ross and steve Aoki the only headliners announced?? Is Rick Ross still that popular?

The poster sucks, the acts are underwhelming, the announcement and marketing by John in particular was complete sh*t. Easy pass for me
