A cutscene when you kill the boss of act 2 bugged out and skipped ahead for me so I gotta go try to find it on YouTube
Can you not cast Revive/scroll Revive her? I never got Lae’zel early in Act 1 so when heading to Mountain Pass she was involved in a fight, but still level 1 and all the enemies were level 5-6. She got killed immediately but I just rez'ed her.
At the time, I didn't know how those spells worked on NPC's (I actually still don't) so I just redid the fight till she survived. I assumed it was possible and I was just bad at the game and low and behold after a little trial and error, we all come out unscathed. A mild spoiler regarding character deaths but having Gale die in combat and then going to loot his corpse was one of the most enjoyable moments I've had in a game forever. If you don't know what this means, let Gale die and don't rez him right away but instead go to collect his things. A fun surprise awaits.
Daaaaaamn I really preferred when the dream visitor was a hottie instead of a nautild or whatever also the circus was an insanely funny area
So a few combat tips that I have that ya'll probably know about but maybe don't... - Even if it's not that characters turn, you can still transfer inventory. It's great if you realize you have an opportunity to knock someone off a ledge. or have an ideal grouping, but don't have a spell for it. Go to another character and send a scroll or an arrow for that purpose. Just click the item and hit 'send to' and then go back to the person whose turn it is and immediately use it. - Use every action available. Sometimes just hiding at the end of the turn is better than hitting end turn with a bonus action available. - Underneath the character portrait at the bottom is the spell that you're concentrated on. You can hit X and cancel it out so you don't have to walk around your own cloud of daggers or spike growth etc. - I wondered why the Bard could play songs, but my goodness, is it great for ambushes. Stand on a bridge, play a song, get the 'enemies who are not yet enemies' to gather around you and clap and cheer and then have another character sneak in with a cheeky thunderbolt or an AOE and boom, multiple enemies dealt with an once. I used this in the prison at moonrise towers to get all the guards in one spot for a massive attack. - Always look up for things to shoot down and use to your advantage and use the environment. Create water and freeze, spill oil and light it on fire etc.
Had a weird bug last night where Gale was scolding me about a conversation with Raphael that I didn’t even have.
I feel so bad for Gale that the non romance dialog options are so mean. I dont wanna fuck but im like, still here for you buddy.
Gale is definitely waiting for me and Shadowheart to have some kind of falling out so he can be like “hey I just heard what happened, are you okay? Do you need me to come over?” Ultimate scumbag
Still got a ways to go, but one of the earlier Raphael scenes kind of annoyed me as well as he popped up when I didn't have Astarion with me who wanted to talk to him, and I didn't have a chance to swap out at camp and bring him. I get you can save and redo, but some situations you're given the opportunity to revisit a person with the party member they want to talk to, and other times it's just 'oh, too bad he's not here, next time'. EDIT: but in regards to your bug, no idea what happened. I know that Lae'Zel had something to say after a situation but I replayed the encounter and she died, and when you rez her, the dialogue option is gone so I never got to know what that was about. I think with how huge the game is, there's still going to be odd bugs where a conversation doesn't trigger right or think something happened that didn't.
i have literally one side quest left to do and one more final story beat to hit so essentially two dungeons before im at the final fight
Act 3 picks up considerably as you get deeper in and all the side quests matter for the gather your allies main quest so they aren’t as detached from the main story as they may seem
How long have you spent in act 3? I feel like I'm almost done with act 2 (can't say for sure), but if I'm right that'll have me approaching act 3 at around 50 hours with 32 spent in act 1. Basically act 2 has felt short, so is act 3 beefy again with content?
i recruited i think the most amount of allies that i possibly could have with the way my acts 1 and 2 went
i also looked up a ton of guides for certain act 3 quests and how to do them for the best outcomes and i have no regrets (also reloaded a few times but not as many as youd think unless i was def gonna lose a battle)
