I was right in the midst, happy to not have to travel as far and will go to the RI show this time, feel like I was too caught up in my own sing along and with other fans to the point I missed the full experience of the actual performance, still had a great time but I need to see them again with a little more focus
As disappointed as I was that the song didn't spiral out of control at the end I'm appreciating the restraint on subsequent listens. So pumped for this.
Bandcamp pre-orders say the full album will be downloadable on 8/25. Probably a mistake, but would be awesome if it wasn’t!
thats 100% a bandcamp issue since its a long album rollout. I forget exact examples but I've seen it happen a few other times.
It's not actually possible to put up a digital download for pre-order on Bandcamp that's further than three months out. It's a weird technical quirk the site has, the 25th (a Sunday) is the most they could get away with.
One record I remember this happening to last year was the newest Closure in Moscow record - announced in March, released in late October (!!!), they had to keep moving back the digital release on Bandcamp
im literally so happy i could cry. this band has meant so much to me over the years, savior mode destroyed me last year it was one of my most played songs of the year new or old i couldnt get enough. i had a feeling a new album would be happening but idk why i didnt expect it so soon. light we made is an absolute stunner but it hinted at so much more, separation and the things we think we're missing are two albums i'll never ever ever ever stop listening to no matter how long i live they're always in rotation. the new single sounds fantastic, its absolutely more restrained in the vein of last to know but it reminds me of moving mountains self titled where theres a little glimmer of something heavier but the restraint they show makes it hit that much harder and cut that much deeper, its a trick i love to see employed and always thought balance could hit it really well
Stood pretty close to Jon at MO/JEW in Philly last year. Think he could tell I spotted him, lol, but I don’t ever want to ruin someone’s vibe; took a lot to not go up to him and say I’m a huge fan/thank you/etc.
oh man yeah it would take a lot for me for him in particular but i dont like bothering band guys outside of their place of work lol
thats so nice to hear he went to that show tho i saw them on one of those manchester orchestra tours they did in the mid 2010's
