My god.. Ain’t It Sweet and Any Means. So good. I didn’t think they would ever top The Things We Think We’re Missing.. but if these 5 tracks are any indication - they absolutely did it. I’m so hyped.
Yip absolutely crushed this. Everything sounds so good but specifically the drums and vocals are stellar.
I don’t say this very often or really very much at all before I hear a record but based on these singles I really think this will be my album of the year
These songs are so good that I am going to fly from Glasgow to NY and Philly to see them. I need to see these live.
Their former drummer must be kicking himself right now. He really fumbled the bag while pilfering from it at the same time.
I have heard no such song but I’d pick Sorrow Machine out of the 4 I’ve heard, guitars in the end are perfect
Funny how bands eventually "click".. I've seen them 2 or 3 times supporting other bands and never thought much of them. But the past couple months The Things We Think We're Missing has been on repeat. Lookin forward to the new album!
He attempted to take money from the band or insisted he deserved a bigger cut from what I remember? Thus ending the band I’m pretty sure or obviously the original lineup
From what I understand he also became a control freak during the LWM writing/recording sessions. John talks about how he loves the record now but it was a pretty dark time for the band.
Bailey stole tens of thousands of dollars from the band during the Circa tour, quit and disappeared. It was the final blow dealt to the band that made them call it quits, after he had been extremely difficult recording LWM.
damn, that’s insane. Is there any sort of source for these claims? Not doubting you, as others are all saying similar things. Just curious.
Jon definitely has talked about it previous on podcast(s?) I believe, though I don't remember how in depth he got
Jon has talked about it on some podcasts. I can’t remember the one where he goes into the details, maybe it was First Ever or Strange Nerve. It was before Balance came back and Jon was still touring as Creeks.
Saw that Brooklyn venue has changed from Paramount to Warsaw, is that a significant change? Is Warsaw good?
super random question, but anyone who ordered the vinyl for this from Memory Music, have you received notice of anything coming in from Frenchtown, NJ? i'm getting a mysterious media mail package tomorrow, and the only preorder i have that's remotely near ship date is B&C.
