I saw them probably around 20+ times and the only time I thought they were bad was at Riot Fest and opening for Thrice and Circa. Always thought they were an amazing live band
I never did get to see B&C live and I'll always be disappointed at that. At least I'll always have their albums to listen to. The Things We Think We're Missing is my personal favorite album of theirs.
saw them once at skate and surf, which was rad, and once opening for manorch, which was wildly disappointing
Like others said having Jon just sing was a good idea. I saw them with From Indian Lakes/Mom Jeans the summer after LWM came out. They sounded p good I thought. Tho I had never heard FIL before, and was floored.
Huge shout out to this thread for this "the wave" discussion! TTWTWM is one of my all-time favorite records and I had never listened to Sainthood Reps until yesterday and WOW thank you!
Definitely entering B&C season. Separation will always be my favorite album (hence the username), thanks to the time in my life it accompanied. TTWTWM is fantastic as well. Everything before and after I enjoy but don't return to a ton.
Shoutout to this thread for inspiring me to dive back in, forgot how much I loved this band. While I think this album was their strongest most likely, there are songs from all the releases that still hold up. Also forgot about the stellar songs on the Braid Split and Slowheart EP
Funny story. When I saw them my friend insisted they had a song called Seahorses. I kept telling him I thinks he’s mistaken. Someone loudly yelled out Seahorses! in the middle of the set, and my friend gave me so much grief. Still haven’t heard the song, and have no idea what era it’s from.
Still listening to this band exclusively lol... "Revelation" is a perfect song I initially overlooked, I would pay massive amounts of money to see them play live again :(
I'm somehow on the no sleep records mailing list and I saw this when clicking through to their black Friday sale today: The Things We Think We're Missing Is this new? I don't have this yet and I love TTWTWM so probably gonna pull the trigger as long as you nerds don't snipe all the copies.
Heads up I went for it and it was $10 in the store but $19 when I got to checkout. I emailed them to see what's up with that.
Snagged the purple repress of LWM today, I don't have any balance records yet and they are some of my favorites of the last decade.
