"I'm the spider in your room And I've got eight eyes They're all on you." B&C have some insane lyrics alright
Man it's getting sorta kinda somewhat close to fall and that means its close to The Things We Think We're Missing season. I think I'll throw on The Things We Think We're Missing to celebrate how close it is. (I listened to that album for the first time in probably 2 years in early spring around 7am on a long drive and it hit me very weird. It was spring but the album hits with autumn vibes/nostalgia like a ton of bricks. Weird in a good way. I tried Light We Made immediately after and I got bummed out. Can't think of another band where I went from uber high praise on an album to just bleh on the next like that)
I remember that fall had Balance and Composure, O’Brother, Moving Mountains, and Touché Amore. 2013 was a great year.
All of these types of bands (Balance and Composure, Tigers Jaw, Title Fight, Touché Amoré, Basement, Citizen) they all take a backseat during spring/summer, but once it hits fall, they’re all I’m listening to, even through the winter. I’ll put them on other parts of the year, and it doesn’t do much for me and I have to switch it to something else.
I really appreciate that theres like no dynamics on Things We Think We're Missing. Everything is cranked to 10.
I think I’d like Light We Made more if The Afterparty didn’t automatically play every time I started my car for like a year haha. Really dug it when it came out though and Midnight Zone is one of their best.
Midnight zone is solid. But guys this band could do it all. Can I get some love for the song: more to me
For A Walk gets my vote for most underrated song in their catalog. that song has such a cool, original sound that no other band in the scene has even approximated
