I'm definitely digging it. I wasn't expecting the instrumental to be so rock-y, even though that mostly is coming from the guitar the composition isn't that far away from a later stage Balance song. The big difference is the Autotune which people are gonna inevitably whine about but that's what sets it apart imo

 

The autotune was used fantastically in Loam to hear it put all over the vocals in this is a bummer. I like Jon's voice and would like to just hear it clean.

 

This is how it is in his project with Wicca phase. I get it, that’s how the genre works these days, it’s just not my favorite.

 

look I love anything jon puts out, but bottom line is he needs to take balance and composure on his own and
continue on with it. It was clear at the final shows he never wanted it to end. I blame the drummer

Jon's ep is out today. It's pretty good, I'm not the biggest fan of the autotuned vocals, but it's not overbearing.

 

I think the way he goes all in on the auto tune works really well for what he’s going for here. i do enjoy his voice without any heavy effects but I respect that he went for it and it mostly works well throughout the EP. It’s a pretty promising start for a solo career if he decides to keep it going imo

 

The vocal melodies on this are great and most of the songs are pretty catchy.

I agree with him... and I'm not even a huge B&C fan but I do think Parachutes is fucking amazing.

 

The transition from Parachutes to Lost Your Name is tight.
