They were great last night. They were missing a member, and they only played maybe 2 songs more than From Indian Lakes. Still so much fun. Crowd was great. I usually don't mosh, but me/my friends did for a little. Crowd went crazy for Tiny Raindrop, and Stonehands. Plus Tore You Apart of course. AND THEY PLAYED RUN FROM ME! From Indian Lakes was was great too, and now I'm gonna jam their discography today to get better aquatinted with them.
Will never understand moshing at a Balance show. Even pre-TTWTWM they didn't strike me as that kind of band.
The Chicago crowd was weird. Pretty mellow at first, lots of swaying back and forth, until Quake. Then there was a pit for every song except Run From Me haha
god this album is finally sticking with me. I've come back to it nearly every day this week. Call It Losing Touch is perfect
My only complaint is that Body Language should've replaced For a Walk. other than that, this album continues to be one of my recent favorites
Ranked every BalCo song cuz idk I was bored. Didn't include the split with Braid or anything before Separation cuz I'm not as acquainted with those songs yet
The braid split is honestly like some of the best balance songs. Best songs are: Twenty Four (best song in the discography) You Can't Fix Me Say More To Me Burden Rope What's Wrong With Everything Patience I tore you apart Defeat The Low
No love for the splits/eps in that list makes me sad. Some amazing songs on those you should give a shot if you haven't yet
listening to TWITWM right now Really don't like "Notice Me" anymore but I forgot how cool the guitar is right after the intro in reflection.
I hate the term guilty pleasure but I think I'd apply that to notice me bc I'm embarrassed I like it so much
