Yeah one of the guitarists in B&C responded on Twitter and asked him for $20 b/c getting guestlisted apparently doesn't allow you the right to criticize a lackluster performance.
I saw them on their latest tour with Foxing in Philly. They really weren't as good as I was expecting. Jon was missing a lot of notes. It was the end of the tour so that could have played a factor, and I still had a really good time but they couldnt really follow up Foxing. They killed it.
Not an easy feat to follow up Foxing. Only time I've seen Foxing as support, not headliner, was when The Hotelier was headlining. They were able to follow up Foxing and it's still one of the best shoes I've been to: The Hotelier, Foxing, and Prawn
just you wait. i didnt see them til the mewithoutyou tour, since then ive seen them 4 times in total i think, one time being a vintage vinyl in store short set
Seeing them headline with O'Bro, Tancred, and Adjy as openers last year was incredible. First time seeing all of them and every set was perfect. Foxing took me to another level that night haha.
Got to see Foxing play a free college show in Asheville the night before Dealer came out. They played most of the record as a fine tuner show for whatever that album tour was. One of my favorite show experiences ever. Also saw them open for Brand New around the time they got that huge popularity boost from the Triple Crown are release of The Albatross. Only time I've seen B&C was a Title Fight headliner, shortly after TTWTWM came out, thought they were underwhelming. Would love to see a set of theirs made up of mostly new stuff.
I've seen them probably a half-dozen times. Joey's voice isn't always quite on point, but they're always at least pretty good.
The Things We Think Are Missing is one of my favorite albums of all time. Light We Made is slowly creeping up there too. I enjoyed it a lot on release, but my revisits have been extra kind and extremely telling. I'm understanding the record now.
I keep coming back to this album. It's so good. I don't know if I like it more than TTWTWM though. It's so hard to say.
I've personally been listening to this a lot too but I've skipped around far more than I did with TTWTWM. I usually find myself wanting to listening to Midnight Zone and the the strech from Fame to Loam a lot more than any other songs on here. I still love the whole thing though but haven't listened all the way through in a while. I think it needs to age a bit more to really tell where I'd rank it compared to the rest of their stuff too.
Looks like we've got an RSD 7" from these guys on the way, titled Slow Heart. Appears to be "regional focus" though Edit: has two songs, Run From Me and Body Language. Both are b-sides from the LWM sessions
What exactly does "regional focus" mean here? (I'm slightly desperate to get my hands on one of these)
Kinda why I put the quotations haha, I'm not so certain myself. Personally not very optimistic about seeing one pop up in my state, but I'll still be on the lookout. 1000 copies are being pressed total.
